Welcome

Tired of all these crowded spots with malls, 10.000 cars, beaches with more people than shells? Come to the Burnt Toast Surfcamp!

Burnt Toast Surfcamp is located in a small village near Playa Guiones and Playa Pelada called Nosara, on the peninsula of Nicoya, Guanacaste in Costa Rica. With several secret spots close by, also shops, video rentals, ATV rentals and a small airport at 5 minutes drive, Burnt Toast Surfcamp is a home far away. It gives you rest and peace when you need it!

Information

BTS is located 45 km south of Tamarindo and 25 km north of Samara. BTS uses several surf forecasting tools. So we have the swelldirection, period and size information to bring everyone joy and waves for each level. The coastline of Guanacaste has a 180 degree swell window. It's best in dry season (Dec - May), the waves get clean with offshore conditions and accessible to surf many beaches. In wet season (May - Nov) the waves get bigger provided by southwest groundswells.

Map of Costa Rica

Burnt Toast Surfcamp is located 600 meters from the beach Guiones, it has a jungle view and all the comfort you need (safe and clean, bedrooms, shared bathroom and kitchen). Playa Guiones, situated on a point of the peninsula, catches north and south swell and offers you 360 days of surfing possibility with perfect conditions.

Thanks to the natural phenomenon caused by winds from the Atlantic Ocean attracted by the cold air from the lake of Nicaragua, almost all year round it blows off shore!
